In March 2025, twenty young people walked into the Gomadevi Youth Club in Lapsiphedi, carrying with them dreams, doubts, and the weight of challenges far beyond their years. Many came from backgrounds of economic hardship, caste and gender discrimination, and the constant pressure of unsafe labor migration.
Three months later, those same youth walked out with something far greater than certificates — they left with confidence, new skills, and the courage to reimagine their futures.
“I never thought I could speak in front of a group. Now, I can present my ideas with pride. HINA gave me more than skills — it gave me belief in myself.”
Mohit Gautam, HINA Scholar
The Entrepreneurial Youth Empowerment Program (EYEP) was one of HINA’s first launched initiatives. Over three months, it equipped 20 marginalized youth (18–30 years) with the skills, tools, and mindset to build a future at home in Nepal.

The program was not just theory — it was hands-on, interactive, and deeply personal.
One highlight was when scholars, using design thinking, built a low-cost water filtration system to address local challenges — proving that creativity and teamwork can spark real change.
“Before HINA, I was preparing to go abroad without skills or direction. Now, I’ve gained confidence, digital knowledge, and a sense of purpose — I can see real opportunities to build my future here.”
Salina Tamang, HINA Scholar

Social Innovation Academy (SINA), as HINA’s technical partner, has provided expert support through two highly qualified trainers — Ronald Ssentamu, Co-Founder of Eco-Bellezaug, Certified Learner-Centered Trainer, Business Coach, Design Thinking Coach, and Personal Life Coach at SINA, and Kendi Faith, Life Coach, and Personal Development Trainer. Their role at HINA involves facilitating engaging and impactful sessions during the Applied Stage, mentoring scholars in personal and professional growth, introducing innovative methodologies like design thinking, and equipping participants with the mindset and skills needed for social entrepreneurship. Beyond direct facilitation, they contribute to curriculum enrichment, capacity-building for HINA’s team, and inspiring a transformative learning environment.
Shankharapur Municipality has played a vital role as the local government partner. They provided necessary approvals and permits, ensured the project aligned with local policies, and facilitated connections with community leaders, stakeholders, and government departments. The municipality also helped identify beneficiaries, offered venues and logistical support, endorsed funding proposals, and actively participated in reviews to monitor progress. Their involvement was instrumental in mobilizing the community and driving awareness throughout the project’s implementation.
Gomadevi Youth Club has generously provided their space for HINA’s program activities at no cost, including access to electricity and water. Their support allows us to conduct trainings, workshops, and other youth-focused initiatives smoothly. By enabling a safe and accessible environment, they help us empower young people and drive impactful community programs.
