Entrepreneurial Youth Empowerment Program (EYEP)

A Milestone in Our Journey

In March 2025, twenty young people walked into the Gomadevi Youth Club in Lapsiphedi, carrying with them dreams, doubts, and the weight of challenges far beyond their years. Many came from backgrounds of economic hardship, caste and gender discrimination, and the constant pressure of unsafe labor migration.

Three months later, those same youth walked out with something far greater than certificates — they left with confidence, new skills, and the courage to reimagine their futures.

“I never thought I could speak in front of a group. Now, I can present my ideas with pride. HINA gave me more than skills — it gave me belief in myself.”

What EYEP Was About

The Entrepreneurial Youth Empowerment Program (EYEP) was one of HINA’s first launched initiatives. Over three months, it equipped 20 marginalized youth (18–30 years) with the skills, tools, and mindset to build a future at home in Nepal.

Core Components of the Program:

  • Entrepreneurial Skills → Design thinking & social enterprise fundamentals
  • Financial Literacy → Budgeting, planning, and small business finance
  • Digital Literacy → Tools for online communication and productivity
  • Personal Development → Leadership, problem-solving, and confidence-building
  • Community Impact → Designing practical solutions for real challenges
  • Inclusivity → At least 50% female participation, ensuring equal access to opportunity

From Learning to Action

The program was not just theory — it was hands-on, interactive, and deeply personal.

  • Training Sessions & Workshops → From business planning to digital tools
  • Mentorship → One-on-one guidance from local and international experts
  • Weekly Presentations → Scholars showcased progress every Friday, learning from both peers and mentors
  • Project Incubation → Youth turned raw ideas into workable community-focused solutions

One highlight was when scholars, using design thinking, built a low-cost water filtration system to address local challenges — proving that creativity and teamwork can spark real change.

“Before HINA, I was preparing to go abroad without skills or direction. Now, I’ve gained confidence, digital knowledge, and a sense of purpose — I can see real opportunities to build my future here.”
