Locally based entrepreneurs in Melamchi, Sindhupalchok. The founders are graduates of Hope Innovation Academy’s entrepreneurship programme, where they were trained as enterprise founders. The founders are not family-related.
Products: Organic potatoes, garlic, onions, chili peppers, coriander, cauliflower, and selected leafy greens and herbs — grown year-round with greenhouse tunnel farming.
Market: The Kathmandu Valley and Sindhupalchok — wholesale vegetable markets (including Kalimati Market), restaurants and hotels, organic retail shops, and institutional buyers.
Revenue model: D2C and B2B sales, with harvest-to-delivery in 2–3 days. Off-season availability and organic production enable price premiums of approximately 30–50% compared to conventional imported vegetables.
Growth outlook: Currently operating on ~1.2 acres with the three founders directly managing production, collaborating with local farmers seasonally. In cooperation with Melamchi Municipality, the enterprise plans to lease and operationalize up to 6.28 additional acres, expand greenhouses, gradually scale the workforce, and reinvest profits into productivity, sustainability, and long-term employment.
