Empowering Youth. Shaping an Equal Opportunity.

Empowering Nepal’s Youth to Build their Future at Home

Project Overview

A new group of young people have joined HINA with hopes of creating a future in Nepal rather than seeking uncertain opportunities abroad. Inspired by the success of our first project, EYEP — where youth gained confidence, skills, and the courage to reimagine their futures — this new six-month journey takes their aspirations to the next level. In the first three months, scholars build strong foundations in social entrepreneurship and digital skills; in the following three month, they deepen their journey through mentorship, guidance, and skill refinement to shape their own sustainable enterprises. “Empowering Nepal’s Youth to Build their Future at Home” is more than a program — it is a bold step toward turning dreams into enterprises.

Expected Result

  • At least 2 scholars will establish their own social enterprises, creating community-driven impact.
  • At least 10 scholars will secure digital jobs, applying their skills in real work settings.
  • At least 13 scholars will become personally and professionally empowered, equipped with confidence, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • The program will contribute to reducing unsafe labor migration by creating opportunities for youth to thrive at home.

“Before HINA, I lacked confidence and could never imagine speaking in front of others. Now, I stand with a mic, share my ideas boldly."

“I always dreamed of starting my own cinematography enterprise, but I wasn’t sure how to take the first step. At HINA, I found like-minded people who share the same passion and drive. Together, we are learning digital skills like filming, branding, and online marketing, along with financial skills. Now, I feel confident to turn my passion into a real enterprise.”

Journey of Empowerment

At HINA, every scholar’s six-month journey is designed as a path of growth and discovery. Through two phases — Exploration & Specialization, and Finding Your Livelihood — youth move from uncovering their strengths to building real opportunities. It’s a transformation that begins with curiosity and ends with confidence to create change.

Phase 1: Finding Your Path

This phase is about exploration and growth. Scholars step into new experiences — building self-confidence, learning digital and financial basics, and discovering the possibilities of entrepreneurship. Through workshops, teamwork, and creative problem-solving, they uncover their strengths and begin to see the paths they can follow toward a meaningful future.

Phase 2: Finding Your Livelihood

In this phase, scholars move from ideas to action. They begin shaping real projects, building portfolios, and connecting with mentors, employers, and community partners. With training in financial management, storytelling, and digital marketing, they prepare to launch enterprises or step into career opportunities — turning their skills into sustainable livelihoods and lasting impact.
